Making Retirement Work
The age for retirement was set at 65 by Kaiser Wilhelm in the late 1800s. It is now generally accepted among gerontologists that life expectancy may exceed 85 years. In 2009 nearly a half a million people lived past 100 years. If people can plan to be in retirement for 30-40 years, we need to help them be better prepared to spend their working years preparing for their retirement years. How?
The shift to a self-funded retirement system requires a change in how we design retirement plans. At SSgA DC, we take this issue seriously and are committed to tackling this challenge head on.
Our DC team is passionate about retirement and committed to discovering new ideas, creating new solutions and sharing opportunities that can create better retirement plans for our clients and their employees.
